The ovarian cysts can affect woman in any age and most of the cysts are not cancerous and some may just disappear on their own without a need for treatments for ovarian cysts.

Natural Treatment
Depending on the type of cyst you may have, will depend on if these natural treatments will be the way to go or if you need further medical attention. Vitamin C can destroy abnormal cells that can help prevent abnormal cysts. Multivitamins and minerals gives a little bit of everything you need to help your body keep healthy. Antioxidants help protect cells in your body from any abnormal cell activity.

Treatment for Dermoid Cyst
Dermoid cysts is usually developed in a woman that is in her reproductive stage of life. These cysts can be cancerous. It is either removed by laparoscopy surgery.

Surgical Treatment
Laparoscopy - this is done if it is a small and noncancerous cyst, according to the ultrasound taken. Anesthesia is used while the doctor makes a small opening cut below or above the navel. A tiny telescope type instrument is then inserted into the abdomen and the doctor then removes the cyst.
Laparotomy - this surgical procedure is done if it is a large cyst and have the diagnosis of being cancerous. While under anesthesia, incisions are made in the abdominal area and removed. The cyst is tested to see if it is cancerous.

Ovarian cysts may be considered in two different categorize which are noncancerous, and cancerous growths. Depending on what category your cyst is diagnosed as will determine the treatment the doctor will recommend you having.
